Prior to my joining Andavo/Virtuoso and starting Sugarpine Travel in Fallbrook, CA, I enjoyed twelve years planning travel, hotels, cruises, holidays and get-aways as an agent with AAA Travel.
Prior to AAA Travel, I began my travel planning career in 1989 at Jockey Club Travel in Marina Del Rey, CA and worked several years later at Newporter Travel in Palm Desert, CA.
According to my Trip Advisor app, I have visited 70 countries in my lifetime, returning to some destinations several times. As the child of a true adventurer, I continued to visit new locations and new countries, whenever possible.
My father introduced me to the thrill of adventure travel at a very early age and I don't believe that my urges to explore the earth, oceans and new cultures will ever go away.

River Cruising
A Europe river cruise is one of the best ways to explore inland Europe, visiting cities, towns and villages that traditional big ships usually can't access. Beyond the ship, what makes a river cruise so different from an ocean cruise is the emphasis on the local culture of the places visited.
There are also far more exotic choices out there for those with an adventurous spirit and the desire to reach the farthest corners of the globe. Consider places such as the Kapuas River in Borneo, the Brahmaputra River in northeastern India, a river cruise in Vietnam or Cambodia, the Tisza river in eastern Hungary, or the Sava River in Croatia, or even the Chindwin River in Myanmar. And don't forget river cruising in the U.S. such as on the Mississippi River.
